Wanda White Hays

Wanda Colene White Hays, 76, Altus, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2015 at her home, East of Altus. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Player officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery, Hollis, under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. She was born on November 16, 1938 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Elmer and Dola White. She was raised in Hollis and graduated from the Ron School. Wanda married Nelson Hays on January 13, 1957 in Childress, Texas. She enjoyed crafts, quilting, fishing, gardening, yard work, cooking for her family and camping. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer & Dola White, and a son, Eddie Hays. Survived by her husband of 58 years, Nelson Hays, of the home; a son, Robby Hays and wife, Sharon; a daughter, LaWanda Alexander and husband, Chris; her grandchildren, Deric Hays and wife, Lisa, Jennifer Jackson, Sheri Tolson and husband, Jimmy, Jacob Seale and wife, Alyssa, Colton Hays, and Brandi and Trey Alexander; her great grandchildren, Kiefer Tovar, Kyrste Grace, Jordyn, Ryliee and Ayden Hays, Tapanga and Jayce Tolson; two sisters, Juanita Bates and Ellen Briscoe; nieces, Kay Sanders and husband, Joel; nephews, David Hays and Brandon and Bryan Briscoe; and two very special friends, Tim Gowan and Kichi Duffy. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
