Wanda J. Pruitt

Wanda J. Pruitt, 79, Altus, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Plantation Village Nursing Center in Altus. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Duree officiating. Memorial services and cremation services have been entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Wanda Joyce Pruitt was born August 6, 1940 in Bonham, Texas to Virgil and Ella Belle (Stanford) Williams. She graduated from the Springlake-Earth (Texas) High School with the Class of 1958. Wanda had attended two years of business school and married Jasper Allen Pruitt on August 4, 1961 in Muleshoe, Texas. She had worked at Dollar General from 1976 to 1980, and was the manager of the Camelot Trailer Park in Altus from 1980 to the early 2000s. Following her retirement, Wanda volunteered her time at the Jackson County Election Board and the Grace Day Care facility. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church; enjoyed traveling, volunteer work and spending time with her family and friends.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Ella Belle Williams; spouse, Jasper Allen Pruitt; five brothers, Clint, Donald, Billy, Cecil and Jesse Williams; and one sister, Myrtle Scheller. She is survived by her two sons, Stanley A. Pruitt and wife, Jamie; Gerry D. Pruitt and wife, Brenda; one brother, Ken Williams and wife, Linda; 10 grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and many friends.
