Ed also enjoyed motorcycles, and car and tractor restoration. Ed obtained his GED, and he received an honorary degree from Olustee High School, where all five of his children graduated, in 2007. Ed was a strong supporter of education, and he established the Olustee Scholarship Fund to help provide opportunities for other students.
