William R. "Bill" Lewis

William Ronald Lewis , 85, passed away at his home in Altus on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, January 27, 2020 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jane Vaughn officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

"Bill" Lewis was born October 19, 1934 to William Leonard and Eunice Irene (Wright) Lewis, in Brookfield, Missouri. He was a graduate of Brookfield High School with the Class of 1952. Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force in September of 1952. Bill and Patricia Jane Deer were united in marriage on July 8, 1953 in Brookfield, Missouri. To this union three children were born. Bill retired as a Master Sergeant Flight Engineer in September of 1978 and began working Civil Service at Altus Air Force Base as a flight instructor, retiring from that job in 2004. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing golf, flying remote controlled aircraft and woodworking. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Anthony Lewis; granddaughter, Amy Nucci; brothers-in-law, J D Mosley and Ross Baker; and sister-in-law, Wanda Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Pat of the home; daughter, Marsha Denice Brewer and her husband, Ricky; son, William Bryan Lewis and wife, Michelle; daughter-in-law, Kyra Brehm; grandchildren, Michelle Bain and husband, Jantz; Chris Brewer and wife, Lacey; Lindsey Ballard; Ryan Lewis and wife, Mindy; Michael Kyle Lewis; Bannon Brewer; and Katie Lewis; great grandchildren, Lauren Guderyon and husband, Josh, Jayla Bain, Canyon Bain, Brayden Brewer, Baileigh Brewer, Madison and Brooke Ballard, Rylan Lewis and Liam Lewis.

The Lewis family will greet friends Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Kincannon Funeral Home. Online tributes may be made at kincannonfuneralhome.com
