Willie Faye Eoff, 97, former Eldorado resident, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 in Dallas, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the Eldorado Cemetery with Rev. Pete Wylie officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Willie Faye Hanners was the high school valedictorian at Eldorado High School in 1943, and later went on to obtain her Bachelor's degree and master's degree from University of North Texas in Education. She loved to teach! She taught high school for years and eventually added college classes to her schedule. She didn't retire until she was 76 years old, only because she had breast cancer and decided to take some time off. She was a victorious survivor, who purposely chose to fly under the radar. Willie Faye loved her friends & family, travel, the sun, gardening, teaching, and her home. She was a fun person who enjoyed hosting bridge games with her friends. Her hobbies include: traveling the world, bridge, gardening, soaking up the sun, and socializing. Willie Faye actively attended the United Methodist Church in Richardson. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Bob) Eoff and David Eoff with wife Martha, her grandchildren, Jennifer Nelson, Alan Eoff, and Alexander Daniel Eoff, and her great-grandchildren, Isaac Nelson, Caleb Nelson, Ethan Nelson, Jacob Nelson, and Avery Eoff. Bob's brother-in-law, Dale Eubanks, also survives her.
Willie Faye was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Montana Hanners (Lambert), father, Martin Kay Hanners, brothers, Orville (nicknamed Bannie) and Aubrey.
