Willie G. Williams, Jr., life-long resident of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 2, 2024. The family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday, August 9th, at the funeral home. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 10th, in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Brother Tony Bost officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Willie G. Williams, Jr. was born in Altus on November 28, 1980, to Willie Gene, Sr. and Marilyn (Jones) Williams. He attended Altus Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1999. In the summer of 2000 Willie met Ann Hendricks of Mangum while he was playing basketball for a team on Altus Air Force Base. Together, in love, they made a beautiful baby girl, Juanita “JJ” Hendricks, that was born in October of 2002. During his time playing for the Altus Air Force Base basketball team, he won many awards and championships. Around 2004 he began his dream of pursuing a music career. In 2006 Willie started TILT ENT. and performed at his first concert at The Robin’s Nest in Altus. In 2007 he auditioned for Bad Boys Records. Shortly after this, he produced and released his first album, Living Under My Presence in 2008. Two years later he released and produced Rhythm and Poetry. In 2016 he started New Age New Music. Over the years Willie wrote, produced, and recorded his own music as well as many other artists.
Willie was preceded in death by his best friend and father, Willie Williams, Sr.; grandmothers, Hattie Ray, Johnnie Mae, and Roberta Shelton; brother, Anthony Hardeman; and cousins, Antranee Bost-Rhodes and Andrew Jones.
Those left to honor Willie’s memory are his best friend and daughter, Juanita “JJ” Hendricks of Oklahoma City; his partner of 20 years, Cynthia “Cindy” Doresey of Altus; his mother, Marilyn Williams of Altus; brothers, Datrill and Jermaine Williams of Altus and Gerald and Keira Brown of Irving, Texas; niece, Neveah Williams; nephews, Zeabron Williams, Donovan Hardeman, and Braiden Hardeman; and many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, especially his special friends, Tyson Conway, Keyon Martin, Andre Samuels, Chris Gipson, and the mother of his child, Ann Hendricks.
