Yolanda Sanchez, 82, Altus, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the English Village Manor. Graveside services have been scheduled for 4:00 PM, Saturday, November 2, 2019 in the Victory Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Yolanda M. Moctezuma was born February 7, 1937 to Salvador and Avelina (Capintiana) Moctezuma in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She attended school in Mexico and married Juan Sanchez on August 19, 1979 in Altus, Oklahoma. Yolanda was a homemaker as well as an excellent cook. Yolanda and Juan were known for their kind and loving hearts, always ready to help anyone in need. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing and spending time with the Barrera family next door. Yolanda was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She spent many years serving the church, lived through many cursillos and made many friends. She loved babysitting Daniel and enjoyed her many visits to Sentinel with all her friends.
Yolanda is preceded in death by her husband, Juan; parents and two brothers.
She is survived by many godchildren including her goddaughter, Elisa Dominguez and husband, Orlando, and their children, Shey, Jasmine, Alexis and Isaac; friend and neighbor of 42 years, who was like a daughter, Geneva Barrera; Geneva's family includes Abel Barrera and wife, Martha; Lourdes Barrera, Jr. and wife, Delena; Ray Barrera; Stephanie Barrera and husband, Jacob Krapff; Geneva's grandchildren, whom Yolanda loved as her own; close friend, Carolina Reyes and husband, Jose; her church family and many friends from towns, states and countries.
